  OverView :

The program aims to address the needs of trained manpower in the expanding media and fill the gaps in the areas of higher learning and research by reaching out to widely dispersed groups located in remote and rural areas. MA JMC gives hands on training in reporting, writing, creative writing broadcasting, films and critical thinking in order to create media professionals who are at par with the media industry. We provide highly professional environment such as community radio station, Newsroom studio to the broadcast media aspirants. The program will help you to build competencies and develop professional skills to avail employment opportunities in various media sectors. It will provide opportunities to Media Students and those who are working in media organisations without appropriate formal training to upgrade their knowledge and competencies.
The program follows CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) which encourages inter-disciplinary approach allowing student to choose any subject of their choice offered by various departments. This allows students to get a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
