 Responsibilities of the Dean R&D

• 1.Lead the research teams at the University to consolidate current and emerging research programmes;
• 2.Support the Vice-Chancellor in identifying and developing research and development portfolio relevant to the mandate of the University;
• 3.Support various research teams at the University to identify research and development opportunities as well as sources of finances to undertake actions;
• 4.Develop sound technology deployment platform for the University on transdisciplinary issues of interest;
• 5.Support the academic programmes with inputs related to research and design of academic programmes;
• 6.Lead fund raising efforts to further strengthen the research, development and technology programmes at the University;
• 7.Lead development of course(s) relevant to using the experience and expertise available with the University; and
• 8.Lead efforts to develop appropriate communication and outreach material related to research, development and technological interventions related to University activities.
