The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) Sponsored MDP on "Enterprise Skills for Conservation and Fair Income” Under Training of Other Stakeholders was held from 19-21 October 2023 at IIFM Bhopal. Eight students of School of Agriculture namely Hemant Tomar, Deepika Kumari, Ruchika Das, Nikita Morley, Prem Kumar Verma, Om Tiwari, Manas Singh and Ishant Raghuwanshi from School of Agriculture were selected as national participants out of 30 total participants from PAN India basis for this training programme. Three days were designed in such a manner that students could learn by their participation in various entrepreneurial activities".
Expert Lectures followed by camping, trekking, visits to forest museum, caves, Van Vihar and forest based products shops were planned to generate interest and awareness among the participants regarding forest based entrepreneurship.
Students expressed heartfelt gratitude for organizing this incredible 3-day training programme. Students expressed, it was truly a memorable journey starting with well experienced Guest of Honors and IIFM faculty members providing new learning & organizing educational tour to Katotiya. During their visit to the caves, they learned about the eco-tourism and livelihood of farmers and entrepreneurial skills which provided them an insight into how they can earn and coexist with forest. Students were guided by Dr. Smriti Singh, Assistant Professor, School of Agriculture for their selection in this training program.
