 OverView :

Design sometimes has been described as one of the youngest professions and one of the oldest human acts. Art and Design courses are for those who have impeccable creative skills. A degree in art and design would enhance their skills and gets them better opportunities. The fundamental purpose of design is to communicate a message and motivate the viewer to do something. Art and Design courses in India are gaining popularity as Industry and society have started to realize the role Designers can play in shaping the future.

The Design specialization combines multiple learnings starting from concept development, Designing, understanding materials and execution of the design. The programme aims to educate designers to handle all aspects of design as one integrated user-centric area of study and their ability to integrate all such elements and systems into a coherent whole in various interior spatial contexts is considered to be important.



 PEO Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) :

    The Design program trains students/ designers to use their creativity, design brainstorming, and design process to bring new ideas, products, experiences, and value to companies, communities, and people. The Design’s Learning Outcomes are student-centred that include skills, abilities, knowledge, and values.

    Students majoring in their respective Design fields learn a wide range of hand skills and processes using soft and hard materials, digital design skills in 2-D graphics, and 3-D modelling for rapid prototyping. Industry professionals guide students in achieving the Program Learning Outcomes, developing their creative process, researching user experience, and applying multidisciplinary design skills to create well-conceived and executed objects and products that serve a human need. The program assists each student in developing personal career pathways to success.

  •  PEO – 1: Confident and young Entrepreneur or Designer. Employ research and analysis methodologies as it pertains to the product design process, meaning, and user experience.
  •  PEO–2: Apply creative process techniques in synthesizing information, problem-solving and critical thinking.
  •  PEO - 3: Confident and comprehensive Academician/ Educator/ Trainer imparting and sharing the knowledge acquired by them, and having completed under graduate design honors program inside India or abroad with a strong portfolio.
  •  PEO - 4: Use the Design and Development Process, as a means to manage the generation and molding of an idea from concept through production which helps the core and allied industry in a specific design domain.
  •   PEO - 5:Use the Design and Development Process, as a means to manage the generation and molding of an idea from concept through production which helps the core and allied industry in a specific design domain.
