SAGE University Bhopal Wins Overall Championship in Inter-University Karate Competition 2026

SAGE University Bhopal has brought pride to the city by securing the Overall Championship title at the All India Inter-University Karate Competition 2026. The university athletes delivered an outstanding performance, winning a total of 2 Gold, 4 Silver, and 1 Bronze medal.

 

The prestigious competition was organized by Dibrugarh University, Assam, from 5th to 9th April 2026, where participants from universities across India competed at a high level.

 

The women’s karate team showcased exceptional talent and secured a gold medal, with key contributions from players including Trupti Pal, Rupa Baghel, Kalyani Korde, and Anmol Goswami.

 

The men’s kumite team also demonstrated remarkable performance and earned a gold medal. The team comprised Ashish Tiwari, Deepak Rajput, Kunal Rathore, Mohit Prajapati, and Rajveer Singh, who played a crucial role in achieving victory.

 

In individual categories, players performed impressively across different weight divisions:

 

Rusha Tamboli secured a silver medal
In the men’s category:
-55 kg: Ashish Tiwari – Silver
-67 kg: Deepak Rajput – Silver
-75 kg: Kunal Rathore – Bronze
