Overview

B.Sc. Forensic Sciences is a 3-year undergraduate course divided into 6-semesters. It is an applied interdisciplinary science that aids in matters related to law. The study of forensic science is typically categorized into two parts: lab-work and fieldwork. The fieldwork includes the investigation of the crime scene by searching and collecting the evidence to find the type and cause of crime. These collected pieces of evidence are analyzed or tested in the lab which helps to apprehend the guilty.

The course curriculum includes subjects like Criminal Procedure and Evidence, Crime Victim Studies, Constitutional Issues in Criminal Procedures, Fingerprint Analysis, Crime Scene Investigation, and Theories of Crime Causation, etc.


ELIGIBILITY

  •  Prospective students should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from recognized school board, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths as subjects studied at the intermediate level.
  •  A Minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 as qualifying criteria to secure admission in this degree course.
  •  Qualifying and fulfilling the cut off of SAGE university entrance exam.
