As per ICAR guidelines August 16-22 has to be celebrated as 'Parthenium Awareness Week', every year across the country as it is one of the most noxious weeds affecting the crops in addition to human & animal health. Accordingly, the School of Agriculture under the aegis of SUB also celebrated Parthenium Awareness Week 2023. In this, one expert lecture was delivered by Dr. Deepak Kher , Dean, School of Agriculture on the topic 'Harmful Effects of Parthenium on Human and Animal Health And Importance of Parthenium Eradication' . Students also eradicated Parthenium weeds from different places of the SAGE premises to stop the menace of Parthenium and aware others about its harmful effects and took a pledge to make our campus Parthenium free.The awareness campaign was coordinated by Dr.Smriti Singh.
