Awareness Training Programme

The entrepreneurs play pivotal role in the economic development of any country. The jobs in the market are increasingly diminishing, so it is likely that in the future more people will make their living as entrepreneurs, especially small-sized entrepreneurs. To nurture an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking among students, the need of the hour is to generate consciousness among parents to foster entrepreneurship culture in children. Therefore, entrepreneurship education in Academic Institutions is significant from the point of view of developing education and society as a whole. School of Agriculture organized a one-day training programme under the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) sponsored by CEDMAP under the Department of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, (MSME), Government of India. The prime aim of the programme was to impart a thorough insight into the various aspects of entrepreneurship, enterprise creation, technical know-how, credit sources, and changing trends of market in global scenario. A total of 120 trainees participated in the programme and showed keen interest in starting a venture in agriculture and allied sector. The EAPs will help to develop entrepreneurial skills among the students so that they could gain knowledge, skills, and motivation to build their own businesses. The programme was organized by Dr. Smriti Singh under the guidance of Dr. Deepak Kher. Dean, School of Agriculture.
