M.Tech VLSI and Embedded Systems

Overview

Master of Technology in VLSI Design and Embedded System is a 2 years' post graduation course, specialized in designing large scale integrated systems. It will cover the fundamentals and engineering aspects of designing and developing IC-based systems. The VLSI program will focus on the development of hands-on skills in designing semiconductor devices and circuits, architecture systems using embedded components such as CPU, memory and peripherals. Students will learn several topics that cut across different domains, starting from the lowest level of physical devices to the top level of application development. The course includes subjects like CMOS VLSI Design, SOC Design, Advanced Embedded Systems, VLSI Design and Verification, Design of Analog and Mixed-Mode VLSI circuits, Real- Time OS, Advanced Micro-controllers, Low-Power VLSI Design and more.

Upon successful completion of the program, post graduates will be able to design, develop and prototype VLSI systems, apply verification methods, design-for-test techniques to IC designs for testable designs and high yield, and use hardware description languages to design cores and standalone logic.

ELIGIBILITY

  •  Eligibility-B.E./B.Tech. with Min. 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC MP Domicile Candidate).
  •  The candidate shall have passed Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation Technology / Telecommunication Engineering / Electrical & Electronics / Bio-Medical Engineering / Medical Electronics or equivalent degree; AMIE in appropriate branch.
  •  Qualifying and fulfilling the cutoff of SAGE University Entrance Exam.
